Since starting Love Luella I have tried various third parties for print and canvas purposes, sampling many in the first year to find my ‘go-to’ suppliers.
Studio9|Wall Art sent me a 20×30 canvas of my choosing last month, to give an honest, unbiased review.
Studio9 started in the bedroom of two young brothers, Craig & Ryan in 2014. They launched Studio9 with two things in mind- quality and speed.
Ryan said that they became frustrated when ordering their fathers canvases online, their dad Neil Holman is a landscape photographer who’s work features highly on the Studio9 Instagram page. He said they had a strong appreciation that some people don’t want to (or have time to) spend the 4-8 minutes it can usually take to create and order a quality canvas online and have honed their site to go from “homepage to order complete” in:
Almost immediately after launch the brothers began taking local orders. Now, just over 18 months later they have moved on to slightly bigger spaces than the bedroom with their own warehouse situated in Bridgend. They now send out hundreds of canvases per week and have a team of four who work hard to print and create your canvases to perfection, even white label shipping for professional photographers. Aged just 20 and 22 with their work ethic, skill and lovely demeanours proves that age is nothing but advantageous…and they will probably take over the world before they hit 25!
Studio9 are in the process of expanding, with many more quick to order products becoming available soon.
I received my canvas 48 hours after ordering, they offer a paid tracked delivery service for those of us who need a last minute gift in a hurry (Fathers Day is next month)
I decided to order a print from a 2015 wedding because primarily I print and order wedding images, also I have my first, ever, ever, ever wedding fayre this year (and probably my last ha) so it will be part of my display. The quality is outstanding, even more so in the flesh. My personal black and white mix is ideal, something I have struggled with on canvas prints in the past. The attention to detail is brilliant and the back is as clean and precise as the front 🙂
It was packaged securely in 2 layers of bubble wrap and parcel paper and it looked sleek and professional coming to the door. I will definitely be using them again.
Studio9 have kindly offered my blog readers a unique discount code for 15% off your first canvas. I truly believe we are stuck in an era of keeping our images online, on our phones, on a hard drive, something I am guilty of myself…print them!
